A great and humble friar has left us, Fra Luigi Ciannilli who last year celebrated 70 years of priesthood returned to embrace his friend Padre Pio.

Many of us remember with pleasure and joy his long homilies that never tired us to which he sometimes used strong and colorful tones that distinguished him from all the other friars.

Many times we stopped to talk to him and he told us about his long life in the convent and his friendship with Padre Pio, we always remember when he walked in the churchyard of the sanctuary to greet the children who never lacked a caress and some anecdote to recommend to parents.

Thank you Fra Luigi today the friars and the community of San Giovanni Rotondo mourn a devoted and selfless friar, we will miss you very much.
