Church of St. Joseph the Artisan (XX century)
Church of St. Joseph the Artisan (XX century)
The church is located in the town centre and it was inaugurated on 11 September 1965 with the ground- breaking ceremony held on 1 May 1958 in the presence of Padre Pio, who also signed a commemorative parchment, which was closed in its foundations. Internally, you can admire a precious mosaic of ‘Christ Almighty’ at the centre, and the mosaic of the Mother of God and St. Joseph at the sides, in a prayerful attitude, and then the ambon with icons of the four Evangelists, the marble altar, the tabernacle in the chapel of the Blessed Sacrament and the beautiful stained- glass windows representing the Christological cycle.
